Principal Platform Architect – DevOps

Our client, a leading financial services organization, is seeking a Principal Platform Architect – Dev Ops (Charlotte) to join their team. As a Principal Platform Architect – Dev Ops (Charlotte), you will be part of the Technology Innovation Department supporting the Dev Ops and Application Platform teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, innovative thinking, and excellent communication skills, which will align successfully in the organization.

Principal Platform Architect – Dev Ops (Charlotte)

Charlotte, NC (W-2 position; third‑party candidates not accepted)

• Lead the development and evolution of automation solutions to enhance long‑term issue prevention.
• Design and implement Policy as Code solutions to automate detection, compliance, and enforcement of bank standards.
• Prototype and document automation processes for application releases, including code deployment, certification, and production cutover.
• Engage with subject matter experts across various technology domains to realize automation capabilities.
• Support the adoption of modern deployment practices such as canary and Blue/Green release models.

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, data science, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in application or platform architecture and design.
• Hands‑on experience with CI/CD processes and automation tools.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Perl, Python, Go, SQL, HTML, and tools like confluence wiki.
• Experience with technology governance, compliance reporting, and deployment practices including VM, Terraform, and Open Shift.
