ResponsibilitiesPosition Summary

The Strategic Long-Range Planner will influence PSA Airlines' growth through decision modeling, analytics, data management, and maintenance forecasting, supporting maintenance requirements and creating the Maintenance Planning Playbook for Heavy, Intermediate, and Line Maintenance.

Job Responsibilities
  • Develop and evaluate aircraft maintenance strategies to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Lead reviews of airframe activity, analyzing data to improve fleet and asset management.
  • Model capacity and demand for 1, 5, and 10-year maintenance plans.
  • Create long-range material forecasts to balance demand over 24 months.
  • Optimize maintenance visit scenarios to minimize downtime and costs.
  • Analyze check visit performance and communicate with Tech Ops teams for improvements.
  • Coordinate maintenance activities with senior leadership and supply chain teams.
  • Develop and implement maintenance system capabilities aligning with fleet and manpower needs.
  • Prepare fleet and maintenance plans for efficient execution.
  • Collaborate across departments to meet maintenance goals.
  • Maintain performance reports on maintenance planning.
Position SpecificsQualificationsRequired
  • Associate degree or equivalent experience.
  • At least 2 years of aviation maintenance planning experience, including line and operations planning.
  • Knowledge of aircraft inspections and maintenance programs.
  • Experience with planning methodologies and inventory management.
  • Strong forecasting and modeling skills.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (Vlookup, Pivot Tables, formulas).
  • Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking).
  • Authorization to work in the U.S.
Preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including data comparison and referencing multiple datasets.
  • Experience with Long Range Planning methodologies.
  • Three years of A&P experience and compliance with CRF 65 or military equivalent.
Additional Information

Supervisory Responsibility: None.

Delegation: Responsibilities may be delegated in the absence of the Manager of Heavy Maintenance Planning.

Authorities: None.

Work Environment: Office setting with standard equipment. Physical demands include talking, standing, walking, climbing stairs, lifting up to 25 lbs, and manual dexterity.
