Job Summary

The Cloud Governance Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring the secure, compliant, and efficient adoption of cloud technologies across the enterprise. This position supports Enterprise Cloud Governance by managing and executing governance, risk, and issue management activities, as well as contributing to program oversight and continuous improvement initiatives. As part of the Enterprise Cloud Services – Governance and Enablement team within Core Technology & Operations (CT&O), the analyst will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to enforce cloud policies, monitor compliance, and drive operational excellence in alignment with organizational standards.

Location:

Charlotte, NC or Raleigh, NC (office‑centric, 5 days a week). This is a regular, full‑time role. Shift: 1st shift (United States of America). Language fluency:
English (Required). The position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Act as the liaison for the governance manager, segment head, and direct reports.
  • Conduct monitoring and conformance of established standards based on performance targets.
  • Create and implement processes and procedures for the governance team.
  • Report compliance and remediation efforts with general controls.
  • Identify opportunities for more efficient and effective controls within the assigned segment.
  • Prepare and develop presentation materials, including writing, editing, verifying, and formatting information, and ensuring that report material is accurate, timely, and well‑written.
  • Identify and coordinate training needs.
  • Ensure identified risks have clearly documented impact analysis and remediation plans that address the issue.
  • Maintain awareness of applications subject to SOX compliance.
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Analytical and organizational skills.
  • Communication and presentation skills, including writing, editing, verifying, and formatting information, ensuring that report material is accurate, timely, and well‑written.
  • ITIL certification.
  • COBIT training.
  • Agile certification.
  • IT governance and compliance experience.
  • Certification in an audit and risk management discipline.
  • Experience in IT governance and compliance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Finance, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 12 years of banking or relevant experience with 3+ years of experience in cloud governance, risk management, or compliance.
  • Audit, risk management, governance, program management, or business analysis experience.
  • Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.

Job Requirements / Working Conditions
  • Sitting – Frequently (25%‑50% of the time).
  • Lifting – Up to 25 lbs.
  • Visual/Audio/Speaking – Able to access and interpret client information from the computer and to hear and speak with individuals in person and on the phone.
  • Manual Dexterity / Keyboarding – Able to work standard office equipment, including PC keyboard and mouse, copy/fax machines, and printers.
  • Availability – Able to work all hours scheduled, including overtime as directed by manager/supervisor and required by business need.
  • Travel – Up to 25%.
