Openshift Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled Open Shift Developer to support the development and deployment of enterprise software applications in a cloud-native environment.

The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in container orchestration, CI/CD integration, and secure coding practices.

This role involves working on complex systems designed for high-volume transaction processing and modular microservices architecture.

• Participate in complex initiatives including installation, upgrades, and deployments within the Open Shift platform.
• Design, develop, test, debug, and document scalable and secure Kubernetes-based infrastructure.
• Automate deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Git Hub Actions, and Open Shift.
• Create and maintain Helm charts for Kubernetes application management.
• Write and maintain scripts for automating deployments, monitoring, and system maintenance.
• Collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance within Kubernetes.
• Ensure high availability and security of applications and services.
• Conduct regular security audits and apply container security best practices.
• Document designs, implementations, and configurations for internal teams and stakeholders.
• Manage multiple cluster environments and data centers.

• 5+ years of experience with Open Shift, Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm Charts.
• 3+ years of cloud-native development and Dev Ops experience.
• 2+ years of experience integrating Open Shift with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and Git Hub Actions.
• Strong understanding of cloud computing and container orchestration.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Go.
• Experience with legacy Unix application administration.
• Knowledge of cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Familiarity with Open Shift networking, Ingress/Route, TLS/SSL, and RBAC.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot Kubernetes infrastructure issues.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

• Experience setting up vendor application Exstream Cloud Native on Open Shift.
• Familiarity with secure coding practices and vulnerability scanning.
• Experience with databases such as SQL Server, Mongo
  
  DB, and Postgres.
• Exposure to Kafka, AVRO, Java, Spring, Hibernate, JPA, Orchestra, Apigee.
• Experience with test automation tools like JUnit, Karate, Cucumber, and methodologies such as TDD and BDD.
