OverviewJob Summary – As a Senior Dev Ops Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our platforms and applications. You will be responsible for the entire Dev Ops lifecycle, from infrastructure provisioning and configuration to deployment, monitoring, security, and troubleshooting. You will also work closely with our development team to automate processes and improve our Dev Ops practices.

- Automate provisioning, configuration, and management of cloud resources to ensure efficient and scalable infrastructure.
- Manage and optimize Docker containers and Kubernetes configurations for various services.
- Orchestrate container deployments and scaling using Kubernetes, ensuring high availability and fault tolerance.
- Design and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines to automate testing, build, and deployment processes.
- Optimize CI/CD workflows to improve efficiency, reliability, and speed of software delivery.
- Implement and manage monitoring solutions (e.g., Kibana, Grafana) to track system performance, resource usage, and application health.
- Configure alerts and notifications to proactively address incidents and maintain system availability.
- Collaborate with security teams to implement and enforce security best practices and compliance requirements.
- Optimize system performance, scalability, and reliability by fine-tuning configurations, load balancing, and caching strategies.
- Develop and manage backup and disaster recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability in case of failures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement deployment strategies, release processes, and environment configurations.
- Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date documentation of infrastructure, configurations, and processes.
- Lead and mentor junior Dev Ops team members, providing guidance, technical expertise, and knowledge sharing.
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as a Dev Ops Engineer, with a strong background in web application deployment and cloud infrastructure management.
- Proficiency in Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Ansible, and other relevant Dev Ops tools.
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and their respective services.
- Experience with web application architecture, APIs, and microservices.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to focus on detail while understanding the big picture
- Ability to meet deadlines while dealing with multiple projects, despite interruptions
- Ability to change and grow with organization and job
- Ability to bring new ideas to issues current in contemporary audiences, and knowing how to implement those ideas
- Flexibility to readily adapt when job parameters, deadlines, or directions change
- Ability to work closely with others as part of a team
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Work is typically performed in a conventional office environment
- Work involves participation in multiple meetings with department and other ministry staff
- Work requires ability to work for extended periods at computer workstation
- Extended work hours are occasionally required
