Sr Devops Engineer - OPERATIONS

Hybrid must go into Charlotte office 2-3 days a week.

The successful candidate will operate within a team of cloud engineers and is primarily tasked with maintaining a
Jenkins
devops platform supporting the development teams. This is a hands‑on technical role focused on building an enterprise pipeline and driving the CI/CD standards in the organization. This position will also involve development tasks to build shared cloud solutions tied to the devops areas.

This position reports to the SVP of Enterprise Platform Engineering and is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast paced environment and someone who has that unique combination of technical savvy and interpersonal skills.

You will be responsible for the managing and operating the
Jenkins
platform for Company's enterprise projects

Lead the effective and efficient build, development and operations of a
Jenkins
environment

Define, customise and improve the
Jenkins
offering using code scans and infrastructure scans

Enhance Jenkins to enable extensions, make it scalable and performant

Assist with the maturation of existing pipelines

Assist is development of shared solutions using cloud based solutions like AWS serverless and Kubernetes

Create qood quality and performing code in Python or Nodejs to build the shared solutions

Assist other technology teams within the Infrastructure Services group “transition” to cloud and the enterprise pipeline solution.

Transition the team into a consultative organization capable of enabling company IT adopt an overall Dev Ops mindset.

You have operational experience with the following CI/CD tool –
Jenkins

4-6 years of experience is managing, maintaining and scaling a devops environment using Jenkins for large number of enterprise deployments (100+)

Terraform experirnce

Python Scripting

Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet/Chef)

Experience of Automating Infrastructure deployment

Demonstrate hands on working knowledge with AWS and its services, including but not limited to EC2, S3, IAM, RDS, Python and Aurora a plus

Experience in Software-Defined-Networks, Software-Defined-Data-Centers, Virtual Private Clouds and other core network technology

Experienced with Dev Ops and Git Ops

Experience with multiple cloud platforms (GCP or Azure) a plus
