Job Summary

We’re looking for a full‑time, staff Human Resources Business Partner to join our Day & Zimmermann team. This position functions as the HR business partner with BU leadership teams including senior leaders, managers and employees within designated business. The HR Business Partner executes HR plans, processes and programs aligned with the business goals including succession planning, talent and performance management, employee engagement, communications, DE&I, learning and development.

With guidance from the Sr. HR Manager/ HR Manager advises and counsels leadership teams.

As the Human Resources Business Partner, here’s the work you’ll do:
  • Conduct thorough investigations in accordance with company and legal guidelines. Provide guidance and counsel to management on conflict resolution, HR and employee relation issues as arises. Reviews and approves separations and disciplinary actions. Coaches management on employee development and performance management conversations.
  • Partners with leadership on performance management, talent review, workforce planning, employee relations and succession planning. Consults on matters such as FMLA, FLSA, ADA, compensation and other HR policies and procedures.
  • Partners with management and employees to build positive work relationships and morale with teams while increasing productivity and retention. Embrace and integrate DE&I in business strategies. Maintains an effective level of business literacy about the business unit's financial position, midrange plans, culture and competition.
  • Conducts HR training and/or assists in the implementation of human resources initiatives or projects.
  • Liaison to specialized HR functional groups and COE to maximize employee and customer support.
  • Partner with other HR areas to provide guidance and input on compensation administration, including job evaluations to ensure internal equity and market competitiveness. Assist management and compensation team with annual merit and discretionary bonus process.

  • Solid understanding of FLSA, ADA, FMLA and state specific employment related laws/regulations.

And If You Have These Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field required.
  • 4+ years of relevant experience required.
  • SAP experience.
  • Success Factors experience preferred.
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, Professional in Human Resources (PHR)-HRCI, or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR)-HRCI.
  • Great attitude and team player.
  • Successful completion of background and drug screening process.
