You’ll strengthen our talent acquisition and talent management programs, streamline daily operations, and deliver a responsive, welcoming HR experience for faculty and staff across the university.

What You’ll Do
  • Advance talent programs:
Support recruitment, employee engagement and retention, performance management, and professional development.
  • Run an end‑to‑end employment delivery system:
Partner with hiring managers on smart advertising strategies; post roles; update the HR web page and external employment sites.
  • Leverage HR platforms:
Implement and maintain HR software (applicant tracking, onboarding, form management, performance appraisal, professional development).
  • Coordinate applicant flow:
Receive, log, and route applications; request background checks; administer skill assessments; prepare accurate offer and declination letters.
  • Turn metrics into momentum:
Track and report KPIs aligned to institutional and departmental plans (e.g., time‑to‑hire, turnover, professional development participation, retention).
  • Steward the performance cycle:
Assist supervisors with timely evaluations; monitor compliance and follow up to keep timelines on track.
  • Be a trusted first stop:
Handle employment‑related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors; triage complex or sensitive matters to the appropriate HR team member.
  • Create a smooth start for new hires:
Prepare paperwork, schedule activities, and help facilitate effective onboarding and orientation.
  • Continuously improve:
Help develop and refine policies and procedures to elevate service and efficiency.
  • Operate with precision:
Prepare and submit requisitions, hiring recommendations, logs, advertisements, new‑hire paperwork, correspondence, and more using Docu Sign and HR systems.
  • Protect records:
Maintain accurate, confidential physical and electronic employee files.
  • Orchestrate signature moments:
Assist with HR events such as the Faculty/Staff Appreciation Awards Luncheon, employee engagement activities, holiday celebrations, open enrollment, and new hire orientation.
  • Keep the office humming:
Provide professional front‑line support—phones, scheduling, visitor assistance, supplies, and general clerical tasks as needed.
  • Collaborate across campus:
Communicate effectively with supervisors, colleagues, department leaders, faculty, applicants, vendors, and the public.
  • Pitch in where needed:
Serve as backup to the Payroll and Benefits Coordinator and other HR staff; perform related duties as required.
About You
  • Insight‑led and metrics‑minded:
You connect data to action and use evidence to sharpen decisions.
  • Platform‑savvy and automation‑minded:
You’re comfortable navigating HRIS/ATS tools and optimizing workflows.
  • Methodical and exacting:
Your documentation, compliance follow‑through, and confidentiality are rock‑solid.
  • Human‑centered and diplomatic:
You build trust and handle sensitive matters with tact and discretion.
  • Proactive and self‑directed:
You anticipate needs, move work forward, and close loops reliably.
  • Equity‑minded and culturally fluent:
You help cultivate an inclusive, welcoming experience for all employees.
  • Orchestration‑minded and deadline‑faithful:
You coordinate moving pieces and keep timelines on track.
  • Clear, succinct, audience‑aware communicator:
You tailor your message to inform, align, and enable action.
