Payroll Specialist

Description We are looking for a meticulous and reliable Payroll Specialist to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina. This role requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to manage payroll processes with precision and confidentiality. As part of this position, you will handle complex payroll functions, including compensation calculations, benefit deductions, and system troubleshooting, ensuring smooth and accurate operations.

Responsibilities:

- Accurately process payroll for employees using the Paycom system, ensuring timely and error-free submissions.

- Resolve system issues within Paycom, troubleshoot data discrepancies, and maintain system integrity.

- Calculate employee compensation, including commissions, bonuses, and draws, while auditing payroll data for accuracy.

- Collaborate with managers to clarify and implement variable pay plans and commission structures.

- Ensure accurate processing of benefit deductions and employer contributions, resolving discrepancies as needed.

- Partner with HR to manage benefit enrollment updates and related payroll adjustments.

- Maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive payroll and financial information.

- Act as a key resource for payroll inquiries, providing prompt and accurate assistance.

- Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies to ensure consistent and accurate data.

- Stay compliant with company policies and payroll-related regulations to mitigate risks. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Human Resources, Business, or a related field is required.

- Minimum of 2 years of payroll experience, with preference for candidates familiar with Paycom.

- Strong skills in mathematical analysis and problem-solving to manage payroll complexities.

- High attention to detail and ability to work with sensitive and high-impact data.

- Excellent communication abilities and a focus on delivering outstanding customer service.

- Proven track record of maintaining confidentiality and operating in a trustworthy environment.

- Familiarity with commission and bonus calculations, as well as multi-state payroll processes.

- Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with payroll software systems.
