The Assistant General Manager oversees daily operations at the Club lounge located inside the Charlotte Douglas International Airport. The role manages guest check‑in, appearance care, concierge services, guest service, and food delivery within a high‑end lounge environment. The manager is involved in daily operations, maintains service standards, leads the team, and reports to the General Manager.
Responsibilities- Active in daily operations.
- Ensure front‑line team stocks all guest‑interfacing sections of the lounge.
- Motivate and lead front‑line team to deliver outstanding guest experiences within a luxury food‑service setting.
- Maintain high operational standards and consistent exceptional guest experiences.
- Build and maintain relationships with guests, clients, and departments.
- Conduct HR functions including recruiting, hiring, counseling, and terminations.
- Oversee scheduling, payroll, and training in conjunction with the General Manager.
- Coach, mentor, and develop front‑line and management staff.
- Ensure completion of required training and certifications.
- Achieve company and client financial targets and goals.
- Direct activities of up to 30 team members at any time.
- Uphold health, safety, and cleanliness standards.
- Ensure compliance with Hyde Park Hospitality standards and company safety programs.
- Report and track maintenance issues.
- Perform safety audits, inspections, and training.
- Ensure team follows TSA and local airport regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- 2–4 years of management experience in fine dining, hotel, or upscale hospitality.
- Bachelor’s degree related to business or hospitality, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to follow lawful safety, health, and liquor rules and regulations.
- Demonstrated leadership and team‑building skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with diverse audiences.
- Financial acumen and business experience.
- Computer skills, including MS Office.
- Professional appearance and presentation standards.
- Physical ability for long periods of walking, standing, bending, carrying moderate loads.
- Current alcohol and food safety certifications, as required.
- Background check clearance for airport environment.
