Overview

Manager, Advisory Services - Physician Enterprise Solutions. The Manager works collaboratively within a team of Advisory consultants to deliver performance improvement to healthcare systems. This role is primarily responsible for performing billable work for clients and leading a significant workstream or project. Responsibilities include determining client needs in terms of the engagement statement of work; leading, guiding, completing and providing quality assurance over data analyses;

interpreting data analyses and forming initial recommendations; developing final recommendations and solutions for client consideration; developing deliverables and presentation materials for various audiences; assisting in the implementation of recommended improvements; assisting and managing risk and issues with project leadership; and managing project or workstream economics and project administrative activities and logistics.

The Manager participates in all aspects of the assigned workstream or project, including day-to-day management of activities and staff. They work in a team environment to provide input, guidance, and quality assurance to deliverables and presentations during each phase of a project. The Manager provides mentorship and guidance to staff and is responsible for building strong, referenceable client relationships. The Manager also participates in internal Premier activities including practice development and ongoing educational opportunities, and learns the technologies Premier offers to its clients.

The Manager maintains utilization targets for client billable projects and contributes to value creation through client relationship management, solution development and implementation.

Key Responsibilities include leadership of the workstream, development of team capabilities, and driving engagement value while fostering a positive, collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • 60% - Execute direct/ oversee data analyses, interpret conclusions, and prepare verbal and graphical presentations. Perform quality assurance on deliverables. Lead client interviews, summarize findings, and draft final recommendations for client review. Develop presentations and deliverables communicating strategy and outcomes. Manage project plans, budgets, expenses, and profitability. Mentor staff and participate in risk and issue identification and mitigation with the project leadership team.

  • 15% - Participate in practice development activities for the Advisory Services Practice or Service Lines within the Practice.

  • 10% - Learn Premier-based technologies and services.

  • 10% - Identify market opportunities on current engagements, communicate leads to managers, contribute to sales presentation deliverables, and seek opportunities to improve profitability.

  • 5% - Complete all required training annually.

  • Required Qualifications

    Work Experience: 5 or more years

    Education: Bachelor’s degree (Required)

    Preferred Qualifications

    Skills:

    • Coordinate and deliver effective presentations to client audiences to communicate project outcomes, recommendations, and strategy
    • Ability to conduct analyses, oversee, and mentor others in the delivery of client deliverables
    • Ability to relate to clients and team members in a collaborative manner
    • Ability to lead work groups to successful outcomes

    Experience:

    • Experience in Health Systems Finance, Operations, Operational or Strategic Consulting, Strategic Planning or Decision Support Analytics
    • Experience leading cross-functional teams

    Education: Master’s Degree; RN license or other professional license in a clinical area of expertise; PMP/Lean Certification
