Highlights of this role:

• 100% inpatient adult medicine
• No open ICU or procedures
• Position located at Atrium Health Mercy, just 1.3 miles from CMC Main

What you'll do:

• Perform medical history, physical examinations, routine assessments, and determine treatment plans for patients
• Document all patient encounters, observations, interventions, and actions in a timely and medically appropriate manner
• Act as a patient and family advocate for the population served
• Participate in continuous quality improvement priorities, service delivery processes, and service excellence initiatives
• Adhere to access and productivity policies and protocols to optimize patient care
• Follow care standards and protocols to deliver appropriate, cost-effective care both in-person and virtually
• Actively and regularly participate in assigned meetings and committees

Who you are:

• Experienced APP with at least 2 years of inpatient or hospitalist experience preferred
• New grads will be considered
• Physician Assistant? Graduate from an accredited PA program required. NCCPA certification required
• Acute Care Nurse Practitioner? Master's or Doctorate in Nursing Practice required. Must have RN license and Acute Care board certification based on population and acuity served
• Strong critical thinker with sound clinical judgment
• Effective communicator with the ability to prioritize and make timely decisions
