Clinical Counselor – Residential Facility (Monday - Friday)

Full-Time | Charlotte, NC | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM

Position Summary

We’re seeking a committed Clinical Counselor to support clients in our Residential program. You’ll play a key role in stabilization, therapeutic engagement, and guiding clients through early recovery. This is a collaborative, client‑centered role within a multidisciplinary team environment.

What You’ll Do Core Clinical Responsibilities
  • Complete clinical assessments and develop Person‑Centered Plans (PCPs).
  • Facilitate group therapy sessions using evidence‑based approaches.
  • Provide individual counseling to clients on your caseload.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Monitor withdrawal symptoms and coordinate appropriate interventions.
  • Deliver crisis intervention when clinically indicated.
  • Update treatment plans and document client progress throughout care.
  • Manage a caseload from admission through discharge.
  • Facilitate psychoeducation groups and engage families (with consent).
  • Complete timely and accurate documentation in the electronic health record.
  • Submit service authorizations, NC‑TOPPS, and GPRA forms as required.
  • Participate in clinical supervision, QA/QI activities, and peer review.
What We’re Looking For Required
  • Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, or another NCASPPB‑approved field.
  • Active licensure: LCAS, LCAS‑A, LCMHC, LCMHC‑A, LCSW, or LCSW‑A.
  • Valid NC or SC driver’s license.
Preferred
  • Experience with substance use disorders and co‑occurring mental health conditions.
