Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced CT Technologist for night shifts, requiring ARRT (CT) certification and strong venous/arterial scanning skills.
Responsibilities- Hospital setting with 373 total beds including acute care and inpatient rehab
- CT department covers ED, inpatient, observation, and outpatient cases
- Night shift schedule Monday through Thursday, 10:00 PM to 8:30 AM
- On-call required 2-3 shifts per month
- No weekend rotation
- Travelers will be scheduled to work 75% of holidays
- No floating required
- Department performs approximately 160 studies per weekday and 120 per weekend
- CT procedures include invasive CT-guided studies and cases with anesthesia as needed
- Uses 3 Siemens CT scanners (Definition AS 40, Force, Edge+), Bayer/Medrad power injectors, Epic EMR, Epic Radiant RIS, and Philips iSite PACS
- First-time travelers will be considered for this position
- CT technologist will work with patient populations from the ED, inpatient, observation, and outpatient units
- Duties include performing CT-guided invasive procedures and assisting with procedures under anesthesia as needed
- Department offers team support from guest services and transport staff
- Orientation includes 1 day administrative onboarding and an additional 2-5 days in the department as needed
- Scrub color is black
- Free parking available in surface lot and parking decks
- Facility has a 50-mile radius rule for traveler eligibility
- Facility has no trauma designation
- Minimum of 2 years recent CT technologist experience required
- ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology with advanced registry in CT required
- BLS certification required
- Ability to start peripheral IVs and perform multi-phase, venous, and arterial phase scanning
- Stroke imaging experience including perfusion studies required
- Experience with colorectal CT studies required
- Tera Recon knowledge preferred but not required
- Experience using Epic EMR required
- License required if applicable
