We are seeking an experienced PACS Clinical Consultant to provide expertise in medical imaging workflows and PACS application support.
This role involves translating business requirements into functional specifications, ensuring compliance with healthcare data privacy regulations, and optimizing clinical throughput and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, document, and develop training plans for PACS administrators, super users, and end users.
- Optimize clinical workflows and operational efficiency using PACS functionality and features.
- Configure and support PACS workstations and imaging modalities.
- Implement and support third-party applications associated with PACS (e.g., CAD, Tera Recon, Power Scribe, Image Share, Universal Viewer).
- Ensure compliance with healthcare data privacy laws and regulations (HIPAA, GDPR, etc.).
- Collaborate with stakeholders including physicians, imaging technologists, and business leaders.
- Troubleshoot and resolve PACS-related issues in clinical environments.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Clinical Consultant in the healthcare medical imaging industry.
- Minimum 6+ years of experience implementing and supporting PACS applications (Philips Vue experience preferred).
- Strong knowledge of HL7 and DICOM standards.
- Experience translating business requirements into functional specifications.
- Understanding of clinical workflow processes within medical imaging departments.
- Basic knowledge of:
- Server operating systems, virtual environments, and networks.
- VPN and NAT technologies.
- Database structures and ability to create queries (e.g.,).
- Familiarity with PACS integration processes with HIS and systems.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in medical imaging.
- Experience working within and across remote teams and multi-organizational environments.
