This is What You'll Do

Manage and monitor pre/post analytic laboratory operations, including sample receipt, sample processing and sample distribution throughout the lab.

Oversee reagents and supplies, ensuring the lab is adequately stocked and supplies are received in good condition.

Oversee the timely delivery of samples, reagents and consumables to internal departments.

Oversee pre/post analytic equipment validation and maintenance, training, and ensuring equipment work cycles are efficient.

Ensure production goals and key performance indicators are met.

Initiate, plan, budget, and manage laboratory initiatives and projects.

Lead the implementation of process changes through collaboration with key business partners.

Evaluate opportunities for continuous improvement and lean initiatives.

Manage major deviations and lead Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) processes.

Foster a high-performing team culture aligned with company values and strategic objectives.

Lead hiring efforts for technical staff, conduct performance reviews, and provide coaching and mentorship.

Ensure all laboratory activities, documentation, equipment, and personnel comply with relevant regulatory requirements.

Maintain compliance with regulatory and quality standards (FDA, CLIA, EU, etc.).

Lead the implementation of process changes through collaboration with key business partners.

Evaluate, develop, and implement laboratory procedures, and protocols.

Lead hiring efforts for technical staff, conduct performance reviews, and provide coaching and mentorship.

Establish and monitor SMART goals for the department and individual team members.

Provide regular, constructive feedback and resources to support professional growth and performance improvement.

Participate in supplier and regulatory audits as a laboratory subject matter expert (SME)

This is What It Takes

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a laboratory science or medical laboratory technology preferred.

Minimum 5 years directly related experience in Sample Management, Laboratory Operations or equivalent in a high-volume laboratory.

Minimum of 3 years supervisory/managerial experience.
