Job SummaryAssists the Clinical Staff in providing support services to residents, including adherence to program rules and Hope Haven policy.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:- Support all phases of operation and implementation of program rules and policies.
- Communicate consistently with counselors through documentation about resident concerns, issues or needs.
- Assist Director of Admissions & Billing with resident intake procedures.
- Assist counselors with resident discharge procedures.
- Complete scheduled walk-around sessions to monitor the entire campus.
- Provide resident transportation to/from appointments, including self-help groups, as needed.
- Provide residents with NA/AA schedules and meeting locations.
- Complete Incident reports upon crisis.
- If designated, assist with medication management for residents.
- Conduct drug screens upon admission and when requested by staff.
- Maintain an inventory of resident room keys.
- Perform duties physically and mentally without harm to self or others.
- Assist clients and visitors with directions or information in a pleasant and courteous tone.
- Demonstrate a willingness to assist others with tasks and support other program staff to develop positive relationships.
- Model mature interpersonal conflict resolution and team building skills.
- Be on duty during designated hours as assigned.
- Uphold the Hope Haven Code of Ethics at all times.
- Respect Client Rights at all times.
- Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by supervisors.
- High School diploma or equivalent with at least one year of related experience; an Associate's degree in Human Services with similar experience preferred.
- Emotional stability, maturity, warmth, openness, and effective working skills with diverse populations.
- Valid NC driver’s license and insurability.
- Willingness to provide 24/7 coverage as needed.
- Knowledge of confidentiality laws.
- Complete all required training.
- Maintain CPR and First Aid certifications.
- Walking, standing, sitting, driving, lifting, pulling, pushing, keyboarding.
