This position is Sign-on Bonus eligible. Atrium Health offers relocation assistance if you are considering relocating to Charlotte, NC.
Pay Range: $34.90 - $52.35.
Major Responsibilities- Examine requests and verify orders on each assigned patient.
- Assist radiologist in performing invasive procedures.
- Evaluate technical quality of exams and develop superior varied techniques for elevated departmental efficiency.
- Support and contribute to Patient-Centered Care Philosophy by understanding that every staff member is a caregiver whose role is to meet patient needs.
- Report malfunctioning equipment to the Assistant Director, Lead Sonographer, and/or Engineer.
- Operate the radiology computer system to include entering and charging exams and supplies.
- Maintain assigned work area in a neat and orderly fashion and assist in keeping the area stocked.
- Adhere to departmental rules and regulations while performing in a professional manner at all times.
- Certified by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (S).
- Two of the following registries are required:
Vascular (RVT), AB (Abdomen), PS (Pediatric). - CPR certification required.
- Graduate of a comprehensive medical diagnostic ultrasound program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or General Ultrasound.
- None.
- Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development and demonstrates skills and competency appropriate to the ages, culture, developmental stages, and special needs of the patient population served.
- Requires strenuous physical effort while assisting patients from wheelchairs and stretchers.
- Requires moderate to heavy physical effort in lifting and moving patients, equipment and supplies up to 600 pounds with assistance.
- Work requires walking, standing, reaching, stooping, bending, pushing, pulling and lifting during normal operation.
- Requires mental skills to read and comprehend patient orders and technical materials.
- Motor coordination needed to operate heavy and delicate equipment.
- Intact sense of sight and hearing.
