Pay Range: $34.90 - $52.35.

• Examine requests and verify orders on each assigned patient.
• Assist radiologist in performing invasive procedures.
• Evaluate technical quality of exams and develop superior varied techniques for elevated departmental efficiency.
• Support and contribute to Patient-Centered Care Philosophy by understanding that every staff member is a caregiver whose role is to meet patient needs.
• Report malfunctioning equipment to the Assistant Director, Lead Sonographer, and/or Engineer.
• Operate the radiology computer system to include entering and charging exams and supplies.
• Maintain assigned work area in a neat and orderly fashion and assist in keeping the area stocked.
• Adhere to departmental rules and regulations while performing in a professional manner at all times.

• Certified by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (S).
• Two of the following registries are required:
  Vascular (RVT), AB (Abdomen), PS (Pediatric).
• CPR certification required.

• Graduate of a comprehensive medical diagnostic ultrasound program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or General Ultrasound.

• None.

• Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development and demonstrates skills and competency appropriate to the ages, culture, developmental stages, and special needs of the patient population served.

• Requires strenuous physical effort while assisting patients from wheelchairs and stretchers.
• Requires moderate to heavy physical effort in lifting and moving patients, equipment and supplies up to 600 pounds with assistance.
• Work requires walking, standing, reaching, stooping, bending, pushing, pulling and lifting during normal operation.
• Requires mental skills to read and comprehend patient orders and technical materials.
• Motor coordination needed to operate heavy and delicate equipment.
• Intact sense of sight and hearing.
