PATIENT DINING ASSOCIATE/DIETARY AIDE (FULL TIME)

Atrium Health Main – 1000 Blythe Boulevard, Charlotte, North Carolina 28203. Online applications accepted.

• Help patients understand their menu selections and work with nursing to ensure orders comply with nutritional requirements or restrictions.
• Collaborate with caregivers and culinary team to determine menu alternatives for patients with allergies, dietary needs, cultural, ethnic, or religious preferences.
• Manage tray tickets and assemble meals according to each patient’s menu selection; retrieve trays from patient rooms at assigned times.
• Comply with regulator agency standards (federal, state, JCAHO). Adhere to HIPAA policies and patient rights.
• Follow HACCP guidelines when handling food, cleaning work stations, and breaking down the tray line.
• Follow facility and department infection control policies and procedures.
• Assist dietitians by monitoring patients on liquid diets or those needing specific calorie counts.
• Communicate problems or concerns with patients to appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
• Complete daily, weekly, or monthly reports as outlined in Morrison Healthcare policies and procedures.
• Comply with health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Ability to read, write, and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills.
• Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds, and maneuver/push food delivery carts.
