Apex is well poised to grow and meet the increasing demand for sports psychology and mental performance consulting services. We are looking for a motivated, independent and committed Therapist, with a passion for sports, to join our team.

• Establishes positive, trusting rapport with patients.
• Diagnose and creates individualized treatment plans according to patient needs and circumstances.
• Meets with patients regularly to provide counseling, treatment and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Conducts ongoing assessments of patient progress.
• Involves and advises family members when appropriate.
• Refers patients to outside specialists or agencies when necessary.
• Maintains thorough records of patient meetings and progress.
• Follows safety protocols and maintains client confidentiality.
• Participate in industry related local networking events.
• Partner with team members and third-party vendors to expand Apex's media presence.
• Pursue select institutional client leads for Apex consulting services.
• Provide consulting services to select institutional clients and manage those relationships.

• Master’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or related field.
• Licensed clinical mental health provider in the state of North Carolina (or eligible for North Carolina licensure/associate licensure).
• Two years of experience providing clinical and/or sports psychology services.
• Strong interpersonal skills, communication and listening skills.
• Ability to build rapport quickly, communicate with compassion and empathy.
• Strong ability to manage time and prioritize tasksli>
