Pay Range: $18.50 - $27.75 per hour
Note:
Eligible for prepaid college tuition assistance up to $5,250/year.
- Performs complete cleaning of assigned areas, including dusting and sanitizing furniture, equipment, mirrors and fixtures; washing windows, walls, ceilings, vents and light fixtures; sweeping, scrubbing and refinishing floors; vacuuming and shampooing carpet; restocking restrooms; replacing light bulbs; reporting repairs.
- Assist with indoor cleaning and may assist with outdoor cleaning such as parking lots, windows, and roof. May require use of a ladder.
- Handle cleaning chemicals, disinfectants, floor strippers and finishes with safety considerations.
- Remove waste by collecting and transporting soiled linen, emptying trash, changing sharps containers, transporting solid and hazardous waste to compactors, recycling, and emptying cigarette receptacles in smoking areas.
- Keep equipment clean and orderly and report equipment failures or other mechanical issues to maintenance staff.
- Maintain a safe working environment and provide quality service by complying with procedures, infection control guidelines, and departmental standards.
- Attend required in-service education and training classes including safety update programs to maintain technical knowledge and meet deadlines.
- Preferred:
High School diploma or GED - Preferred:
One year of experience - Ability to prioritize assignments to complete work in a timely manner
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with co-workers
- Repetitive work according to set procedures; stressful, fast-paced
- Works in contaminated, isolation, construction and renovation areas
- Occasionally works in extreme temperatures and around unpleasant smells
- Exposure to individuals with varying conditions and illnesses
