Cost Accountant

A global manufacturing organization is seeking a Cost Accountant to join its Accounting & Finance team. Reporting to the Head of Accounting & Finance, this role will be responsible for manufacturing cost accounting, close processes, and financial analysis that supports operational and strategic decision making.

This position sits within a lean finance team and partners closely with operations, sales, and leadership to provide visibility into product costs, manufacturing performance, and key financial drivers.

Responsibilities

• Maintain SAP product costing structures and related master data
• Support SAP CO month-end close and ensure accurate cost reporting
• Analyze manufacturing costs and identify key drivers behind financial variances
• Prepare monthly financial and operational reporting for leadership
• Assist with departmental reporting and variance analysis against budget and forecast
• Provide product cost estimates and financial analysis to support operational teams
• Support product costing assumptions and financial inputs during the annual budgeting process
• Assist with audit requests and related financial documentation
• Participate in ad hoc financial analysis and process improvement initiatives
