Cato is seeking an experienced Treasury Analyst to join its Treasury
.
To provide assistance with cash and investment management and other treasury related projects as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Assist with daily cash operations by obtaining data (i.e. Rates, LC’s, Payroll, Presentments, Intraday, etc.) necessary to prepare reports that determine the daily cash requirements;
- Serve as online account administrator responsible for the initiation of all wire/account transfers and wire templates, addition/deletion of users, password resets, accesses, etc.;
- Assist General Accounting and Sales Audit/Banking Departments with recording cash transactions for general ledger purposes;
- Maintain reconciliation of cash/investment balanceson a cost basis as well as fair marketvalue basis;
- Provide supporton special projects involving cash/investment analysis,etc.;
- Maintain government and charitable organization voucher program for store transaction activity.
- Prepare quarterly management reports (Investment by Position and JP Morgan/Morgan Stanley Comparison) for Board of Directors meeting;
- Prepare, compile, list and maintain all SEC-16b filing sand reports on a timelyand accurate basis;
- Assist the Manager, Cash Management with the monthly and quarterly close process, including journal entries for all cash activity.
- Support special projects and cross-functional initiatives as assigned.
Bachelors in Finance,Accounting, Economics or related field
WORK EXPERIENCE- 3+ years work experience in treasury/cash management or banking field preferred
- 2+ years administrative experience
- Retail treasury experience is desirable but not a prerequisite.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical and interpersonal skills
- Strong computer skills,including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point
- Strong organizational skills with abilityto prioritize tasks, meet deadlines and work independently
- Ability to handle highly confidential information and situations.
