A leading private investment firm with over ~$50B in AUM is seeking a Private Credit Analyst to join its high‑performing Direct Lending team in Charlotte, NC.

The firm invests across the capital structure, including first lien, unitranche, second lien, and mezzanine debt, while also offering equity co‑investments, secondary solutions, and private equity fund commitments. With a long, proven history of disciplined investing through multiple economic cycles, the platform is recognized for its consistent performance and deep sponsor relationships. The firm maintains offices in Los Angeles, Charlotte, New York, and Chicago.

As a Private Credit Analyst, you will play a key role in evaluating new investment opportunities, structuring and executing private credit transactions, and actively managing portfolio companies across the credit platform. Candidate Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required (preferably in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related quantitative discipline) with an outstanding academic record
  • 1-2+ years of investment banking experience (leveraged finance, coverage, M&A, financial sponsors) or buyside private credit investing
  • Experience engaging with financial sponsors is a plus
  • Strong analytical, modeling, and valuation skills, with exceptional attention to detail
  • Genuine passion for private credit and fundamental investing
Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and underwrite new private credit investment opportunities
  • Structure, negotiate, and execute private debt transactions
  • Monitor and actively manage both new and existing portfolio investments
