Position: Senior Financial Planner (Central Advice Group)

Overview

Sr. Financial Planner

The Senior Financial Planner writes and supports financial planning for Wealth Management Advisors, Advisory Consultants, and other client-facing associates. Working under limited supervision, this role creates high-quality, accurate, and compliant financial plans and uses intermediate-level communication skills to provide on-demand support to wealth management advisory teams via the Advice and Planning Helpdesk Services through email and phone support lines.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
  • Prepares financial plans for Wealth Management clients while maintaining quality, content, and cycle time service level agreements.
  • Provides planning points via coaching calls or emails to the advisor to address client concerns and planning considerations.
  • Works with advisors to identify the most critical client needs and builds, reviews, and approves goal-based financial plans which are modeled to address client concerns or show comparisons between alternatives when appropriate.
  • Coaches Advisors to use planning to grow and provides feedback regarding the progress of new Advisors (positive or constructive).
  • Answers questions for Advisors pertaining to specific plans, general planning questions or status updates on in-process work, during scheduled shifts on the Advice and Planning Help Desk, with accuracy, objectivity and professionalism.
  • Develops and delivers content to financial planner peers and advisory teams.
  • Responds to inquiries from advisors and business partners regarding specific financial planning topics.
Educational Requirements
  • University (Degree) Preferred
Work Experience
  • 3+ Years Required; 5+ Years Preferred

  • SRC Indicator:
    Series 7;
    Series 63;
    Series 65;
    Series 66
Licenses and Certifications
  • Certified Financial Planner (CFP) - Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards required Upon Hire

Compensation

Base Pay Range: $85,000/yr - $110,000/yr

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
