Work Schedule:
Ally designates roles as (1) fully on-site, (2) hybrid, or (3) fully remote. Hybrid roles are generally expected to be in the office a certain number of days per week as indicated by your manager. Your hiring manager will discuss this role's specific work requirements with you during the hiring process. All work requirements are subject to change at any time based on leader discretion and/or business need.
Opportunity
The AML Analyst performs routine compliance tasks and deals with routine compliance issues, typically concerning documentation, reporting, etc. May assist in monitoring regulatory issues. Follows established guidelines and procedure s. At this time, Ally will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.
The Work Itself- Knowledge of the laws applicable to money laundering, to include the BSA, The Patriot Act, U.S.Treasury AML guidelines, OFAC requirements and Suspicious Activity Reporting requirements.
- AML Investigation consistent with Ally (SAR) policy and Investigation’s procedures as well as Ally risk philosophy.
- Conduct background investigations as required.
- Prepare and complete accurate and comprehensive narratives as well as supporting documentation.
- Performs account/transaction research as needed and identify trends that could implicate potential money laundering or terrorist financing.
- Meet or exceed the daily team production expectation.
- Follows established guidelines and procedures.
- Stay apprised of regulatory matters and developments through regular review of appropriate compliance publications and websites and by participating in relevant compliance conferences and other training events.
- Applies knowledge of company policies and standard practices to resolve problems.
- Analyzes issues and uses judgment to make decisions.
- Escalates non-standard problems or issues.
- Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
- +1 years related AML/EDD experience/ financial services experience strongly preferred.
- Bachelor's degree or related work experience preferred.
- Invest experience preferred.
- SIE/Series 7 preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize workload and balance multiple duties and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work both independently and cooperatively on project teams.
- Proficiency in MS applications: (Microsoft Office).
