Staff Accountant

Overview

Fastbreak AI is transforming sports operations with cutting-edge AI software used by leagues, teams, and sports event organizers across the country. We re building a dynamic, collaborative finance team that supports rapid growth, operational excellence, and strategic decision-making across the company.

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes and related workflows.
• Perform bank reconciliations regularly to maintain accurate cash positions.
• Track and report on project costs and budget performance to support business decisions.
• Use data to analyze financial trends and prepare reports that help drive insights.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with internal teams and external partners regarding financial activities.
• Support month-end close and assist with other accounting tasks as needed

• Has a positive outlook and thrives in a collaborative, high-energy environment.
• Communicates effectively — both verbally and in writing — with team members across the organization.
• Is analytical and detail-oriented, with a natural curiosity for understanding financial data.
• Enjoys problem-solving and proactively improving processes.
• Has experience working with a Mac Book computer

• Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• At least 2 years of accounting experience, ideally in a fast-paced business environment.
• Hands-on experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Strong skills in both Excel and Google Sheets for data analysis and reporting.
• A willingness to roll up your sleeves and contribute across the finance function

This is an onsite position in Charlotte, NC.
