* * A leading life insurance and reinsurance organization is seeking a Director of Financial Reporting to lead U.S. financial reporting activities within the Controllers organization. This role oversees a distributed team and partners across accounting, actuarial, and operations to deliver accurate reporting, analytics, and process improvements in a highly regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead U.S. GAAP and Statutory quarterly/annual reporting for spread-based insurance products
* Support external and regulatory reporting, including Bermuda reporting requirements
* Oversee accounting for complex reinsurance structures (e.g., Mod Co, Funds Withheld)
* Analyze earnings and financial variances; prepare executive-level reporting and KPIs
* Ensure compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and documentation standards
* Implement new accounting standards and improve reporting processes and analytics
* Review journal entries, reconciliations, and collaborate with auditors and stakeholders---### Qualifications
* Bachelor’s in Accounting; CPA or MBA required
* 15+ years accounting/financial reporting experience in insurance or public accounting
* Strong expertise in U.S. GAAP, Statutory reporting, and reinsurance accounting
* Proven leadership and ability to operate in a complex regulated environment
* Advanced Excel/PowerPoint skills; ERP/GL systems (e.g., Oracle/People Soft) preferred---U.S. work authorization required. Equal opportunity employer.
