Job Summary
Design, implement, trade, and monitor client portfolios in accordance with team and UBS guidelines. Manage all day to day trading activity, including new money deployment, rebalancing, tax loss harvesting, cash raises, model updates, and structured product execution. Oversee semiannual and event driven rebalancing cycles, ensuring portfolios stay aligned with strategy and risk guidelines.
Responsibilities- Monitor portfolios for drift, risk exposures, independence restrictions, suitability, and tax efficiency; proactively recommend adjustments.
- Conduct research and make recommendations on investment solutions (funds, SMAs, structured products, alternatives) consistent with UBS CIO guidance.
- Maintain and enhance proprietary model portfolios, including assumptions, asset allocation, risk metrics, and documentation.
- Prepare clear, client friendly portfolio and performance summaries for meetings, reviews, and reports.
- Attend selected client/prospect meetings to explain market outlook, portfolio positioning, and performance in simple, direct language.
- Projects and reporting for significant corporate client.
- Collaborate closely with Planning, Wealth Strategy, and Client Service teammates to align planning, portfolio, implementation workflows.
- Prepare investment materials for client reviews, business development meetings, and new client onboarding.
- Translate financial plans into implementable portfolios, manage onboarding trades, and oversee new relationship investment execution in the first 90 days.
- Produce or oversee production of periodic performance, allocation, and monitoring reports; document decisions and rationales thoroughly.
- Maintain a very low error rate in trading, resolve issues promptly, and uphold all compliance and independence standards.
- Demonstrate strong communication, ownership mindset, attention to detail, and commitment to the team’s culture of excellence.
- 7-10 years in the Financial/Investment sector
- Series 7 & 66 required
- Insurance licensing
- CFA/CFP - CFA preferred
- Bachelors degree in Finance
- Strong analytical skills
- Detail oriented
- Microsoft Suite
