Job DescriptionThe isolved Tax Department is looking for team members who enjoy payroll taxes, research, and resolution. As a Tax Resolution Specialist, you will act as a detective and problem-solver who digs into tax requirements to identify the root cause of cases. The Tax Resolution Specialist will work with customers to resolve payroll tax notices, complete amended tax returns, and work directly with clients through CRM, email & phone.
The underlying goal is to reach the best possible outcome for customers while building relationships with key agents at various tax agencies.
Job Duties
- Resolve in-depth payroll tax issues across federal, state, and local agencies
- Prepare amended tax returns while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations
- Review and process quarter-end and year-end adjustments for accurate reporting
- Accurately and timely prepare and submit payroll taxes and returns
- Act as a client advocate for payroll tax filing matters
- Maintain the tax database while preserving data integrity
- Complete EFT registrations and communicate with agencies via mail, email, or fax
- Update existing client rate changes via SUI Rate Exchange
- Articulate changes in tax compliance requirements to the Development Team
- Participate in streamlining future processes

- Detail-oriented with exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal capabilities
- Demonstrate working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and web-based applications
- Work well under pressure and meet strict deadlines
- Bachelor’s Degree (Preferred)
- Experience with multi-state tax and payroll rules
- Experience in e-filing federal and state tax returns and W-2’s
- Experience working at a Payroll Service Bureau (PLUS)
