About the Role

We’re seeking a driven collections expert to join our Operations team and help shape the future of collections. This role will be responsible for reducing credit losses and improving recovery performance on high‑risk loans through detailed account analysis, advanced collection strategies, and cross‑functional collaboration with our servicing and collections partners. Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze high-risk loans to identify delinquency patterns and potential recovery challenges
  • Review case comments, complaints and sample calls to identify missed engagement opportunities
  • Report findings/recommendations to leadership and collections vendors
  • Review collections vendor efforts related to skip tracing, asset validation, engagement scoring and time of day contact strategies
  • Collaborate with our collections partner to optimize contacts and collections performance
  • Connect with Sunlight Relationship Managers to obtain dealer-provided borrower contact details
  • Conduct analysis on current strategies and effectiveness to define opportunities to address gas and refine the strategies/tools needed to achieve default risk objectives
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience in collections, recovery, or underwriting roles considered
  • Experience with Salesforce and SQL/AI BI tools is a plus
  • Experience managing or developing collections strategies
  • Ability to develop pilot campaigns along with developing requirements for champion/challenger strategies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to convey findings/recommendations clearly and concisely
  • High attention to detail and strong critical thinking skills.
  • Working knowledge of regulatory and compliance guidelines (strong familiarity with FDCPA, specifically Reg F is critical)
