Senior Manager, Accounting Methods – BDO USA

Lead federal tax accounting methods for public and private companies across multiple industries. Drive tax benefit realization, compliance, and consulting with cross‑functional teams.

• Conduct research and develop memos on tax implications and alternative strategies.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal tax authorities and identify opportunity to reduce reporting burdens.
• Recommend and implement solutions to maximize client tax benefits and stay current on legal developments.
• Represent clients before tax authorities and respond to inquiries.
• Develop strategies and marketing approaches to advance client or firm positions.
• Supervise day‑to‑day work of Senior Associates and Associates on engagements and provide performance feedback.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Tax, or Finance, required;
  Master’s preferred.
• Seven (7) or more years of federal tax client service experience, required.
• Prior experience supervising consulting professionals, required.
• CPA certification, attorney (admitted to practice in a U.S. jurisdiction), or IRS Enrolled Agent (“EA”), required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; superior analytical and research skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word; experience with tax software and research databases preferred.
