About the Role

This role supports commercial real estate finance activities by analyzing complex information, preparing detailed reports, and developing loan submission packages. You’ll work closely with producers, clients, lenders, and internal teams to support transactions from initial packaging through closing. The work is analytical, collaborative, and often involves large or complex portfolios that require creativity, sound judgment, and strong financial insight.

What You’ll Do
  • Support the full commercial real estate lending process, including packaging, lender due diligence, negotiations, commitments, and closings.

  • Research and gather data on local, regional, and national real estate markets from a wide range of sources.

  • Organize, evaluate, interpret, and summarize complex datasets to support decision‑making.

  • Prepare financial analyses, statements, reports, and visual materials for management review.

  • Develop forecasts and analyze trends related to commercial mortgage finance and broader industry conditions.

  • Conduct ad hoc analyses and special studies for producers and management.

  • Prepare comprehensive loan submission reports.

  • Collaborate with clients, lenders, government agencies, and internal teams; contribute to business development activities as needed.

  • Work independently on broad, complex assignments requiring analytical depth and creative problem‑solving.

  • Provide informal guidance, technical support, or project leadership to colleagues.

What You’ll Need
  • Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) and at least five years of related experience.

  • Coursework or equivalent experience in real estate finance, appraisal fundamentals, market analysis, and accounting.

  • Active North Carolina Salesperson or Real Estate Broker license strongly preferred.

  • Strong ability to analyze and interpret complex business documents and financial information.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare reports and deliver presentations.

  • Advanced analytical and quantitative skills, with experience solving complex problems and developing strategic recommendations.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with ARGUS is preferred.

  • Ability to make informed decisions, manage deadlines, and work effectively in a dynamic environment.
