Senior Indirect Tax Accountant

Carolina PRG is partnering with a reputable and rapidly growing financial services organization that is seeking a skilled Senior Indirect Tax Accountant to join their team! This role is ideal for a tax professional who enjoys ownership of the indirect tax function, thrives in a collaborative environment, and is eager to contribute to process improvements and strategic tax initiatives.

• Lead the preparation and submission of recurring indirect tax filings, which may include sales & use, excise, property, and VAT/GST.
• Perform account reconciliations and ensure accurate financial posting of all indirect tax activity.
• Monitor, interpret, and analyze tax regulations to ensure compliance and identify potential tax-saving opportunities.
• Support the deployment and improvement of tax technology and automation tools to streamline reporting and compliance.
• Assist with indirect tax audits, including coordinating responses to regulatory inquiries and information requests.
• Serve as a subject-matter resource for internal teams by providing guidance on the tax treatment of business transactions.
• Maintain current tax rate files, exemption certificates, and system tax configurations.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field.
• 3+ years of indirect tax experience
• Strong understanding of indirect tax regulations and compliance requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
• Experience with tax research, audit support, and tax technology or ERP systems.
• Advanced Excel skills and the ability to analyze and reconcile large data sets.
