Experience: 2–3 Years PQE | Fund Finance & Leveraged Finance
A leading global law firm is seeking a junior associate (2–3 years PQE) to join its Fund Finance practice in Charlotte. This is a hands‑on role focused on secured and unsecured lending transactions, including fund financings, acquisition financings, leveraged finance deals, bridge loans, and other complex domestic and cross‑border syndicated and bi‑lateral financings. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic record, sophisticated law firm experience, and a particular interest or background in fund finance and private credit.
AboutThe Team
Join a high‑performing finance team advising top‑tier private equity funds and institutional clients. The team is known for its collaborative culture, client‑focused approach, and supportive mentorship. You will work closely with partners and senior associates, gaining significant exposure to complex transactions and developing a deep understanding of fund finance law.
Key Responsibilities- Draft, review, and negotiate fund financing, acquisition financing, and leveraged finance documentation
- Assist in structuring and executing domestic and cross‑border transactions
- Conduct legal due diligence and coordinate with internal teams and external advisors
- Provide strategic legal advice to clients on complex finance matters
- 2–3 years of transactional finance experience, ideally in fund finance, leveraged finance, or private credit
- Strong drafting, analytical, and negotiation skills
- Excellent academic credentials from a top law school
- JD from a U.S.‑accredited law school and active bar membership (or eligible to waive in)
- Team‑oriented, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
- Salary Range: $235,000–$260,000 (DOE)
