The Head of Subservicing Oversight will monitor and manage third-party mortgage subservice rs to optimize performance and ensure compliance with regulatory, investor, and agency guidelines.

Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

  • Vendor Management:
    Serve as Primary Point of Contact and Oversee the performance of subservice rs to ensure they meet contractual obligations and performance standards.
  • Performance Monitoring:
    Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics, often through dashboards and performance scorecards, to evaluate service delivery and operational efficiency.
  • Reporting and Analysis:
    Prepare and deliver detailed reports to senior management on performance, risk, and compliance issues.
  • Compliance and Risk:
    Monitor Subservicer and Internal Testing to ensure compliance with State, Federal, Investor, and Agency guidelines.
  • Process Improvement:
    Identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to enhance service workflows and customer experience.
  • Delinquency and Default Management:
    Provide oversight of default-related activities managed by the subservicer, such as collections, loss mitigation, bankruptcy, and foreclosure.
  • Issue Resolution:
    Address and resolve any issues or breaches of service level agreements or guidelines identified through monitoring and audits.
  • Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelors degree or equivalent education and related experience.
    • 15+ years of mortgage servicing experience to include responsible risk management and strategic decision-making and ability to manage complex projects and initiatives.
    • Minimum of 5 years of Mortgage Default Experience.
    • Minimum of 5 Years of Mortgage Subservicing Experience.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Excellent leadership, consulting, and communication skills, including the ability to lead direct and indirect reports and influence all levels within the organization.
    • Excellent negotiation skills and highly collaborative planning ability, excellent diplomacy, tact, judgment, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
    • Ability to think critically and strategically and drive change; capability of successfully managing multiple projects concurrently.
    • Strong quantitative, governance, and analytical abilities.
    • Ability to solve complex problems and drive structure through ambiguity.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to provide effective challenge to senior management and cross functional leadership.
    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office technologies (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Visio).
