Job Summary
If you enjoy building processes and tools to solve complex problems, this is the role for you. As a Sr. Data and Reporting Analyst you will be responsible for supporting the strategic initiatives designed to improve the operational cash flow and organic revenue growth of the business. You will sit at the center of key initiatives that support all of Compass Group North America—partnering closely with finance leaders, corporate executives, and operations teams to help shape strategy, improve KPI’s and drive performance of the business.
This is a high-visibility role with exposure to executive leadership, meaningful ownership of reporting processes, and opportunities to drive continuous improvement across tangible areas of the business.
What You’ll Do- Own the preparation and delivery of live reporting dashboards used by leadership to make key decisions and track performance of initiatives
- Act as a trusted finance partner to leadership, providing insights, analysis, and forward-looking projections to support strategic decisions
- Lead and coordinate the implementation of new initiatives, ensuring timely, accurate, and meaningful impacts
- Prepare, consolidate, and evaluate large data sets, summarize findings and provide recommendations for improvement opportunities
- Utilize data analytics tools like Power BI to analyze, load, and validate financial data across multiple databases
- Build and maintain executive-ready dashboards and reports featuring KPIs and key financial metrics
- Support ad hoc analyses and special projects that directly inform senior leadership and business strategy
- Continuously look for ways to improve processes, enhance efficiency, and strengthen business performance
- Collaborate cross-functionally with corporate finance and internal partners to ensure alignment and consistency across all reporting
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
- 3+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or financial reporting within a large organization
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a natural curiosity for understanding the “why” behind the numbers
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- High attention to detail paired with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights
- Advanced Excel skills
- Power BI experience
- Experience with Hyperion, Essbase, HFM, or SAP is a plus
- High visibility and regular interaction with senior leadership
- Ownership of critical reporting and planning processes
- Opportunities to influence strategic decisions and improve how the business operates
