Position Summary

Amwins Actuarial Department is seeking dependable, self-directed Catastrophe Risk Analysts to join our team. This role involves organizing and analyzing data to support underwriting decisions. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, and comfortable working independently while collaborating within a team environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process and organize raw data into usable formats for underwriting analysis.
  • Handle submissions of new account data in Microsoft Excel, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Collaborate with a team of analysts to manage shared workloads and meet deadlines.
  • Prioritize tasks effectively and maintain a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely through written correspondence (email, Microsoft Teams).
Qualifications
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong data organization skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively within a standard workday.
  • Strong attention to detail and basic reasoning skills for simplifying complex information.
  • Reliable, adaptable, and comfortable working under deadlines.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience in data analysis or risk management (not required; training provided).
  • Ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment while maintaining autonomy.
