We are looking for an experienced Controller for a privately-owned, reputable company in Charlotte, NC. As the Controller, you will be responsible for the full cycle accounting process, ensuring timely reporting and financial information and quality customer service.

Reporting to the CFO, this is an incredible opportunity for a current Accounting Manager or Controller to continue in their career within a professional environment that is experiencing continued growth.

This is an onsite role in Charlotte, NC.

• Responsible for accurate and timely posting to General Ledger accounts in accordance with GAAP and appropriate internal controls.
• Lead and manage month-end close procedures ensuring accurate and timely recording of revenue, cost, operating expense, and account reconciliations.
• Reconcile subsidiary ledgers to general ledgers and cash accounts to bank statements each month.
• Participate in financial statement review including variance analysis and key driver commentary
• Manage Fixed Asset Ledger including periodic recording of depreciation and amortization
• Oversee Accounts Payable to include review and approval of weekly payment runs and regular maintenance of payment templates in and out of treasury platform.
• Monitor Accounts Receivable and Cash Application process providing support with collection efforts as needed.
• Monthly analysis of Material, Labor, Overhead, and Cost impact on total manufacturing cost and Gross Profit.
• Provide leadership in the annual budget process, collecting, analyzing and consolidating financial data with a complete understanding of all the risks and opportunities.
• Primary interface with Internal and External Auditors coordinating supply of all necessary information required to finalize fiscal year reporting and audit compliance.
• Partner with the operations team members to support efficient manufacturing operation, distribution, cost optimization, and inventory management.
• Support the corporate and field sales team in executing commercial strategy.
• Prepare and file sales tax returns monthly as required
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local corporate, payroll and other applicable taxes.
• Responsible for the annual form 1099 filings and other jurisdiction specific business filings.
• Actively engage in the professional development of staff providing opportunities for growth in their role.
• Act as a business partner to CFO and other senior leaders within the organization.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Previous successful supervisory experience, required
• Comprehensive knowledge of GAAP and federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
• Understanding of manufacturing accounting
• Prior experience with Microsoft Dynamics
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills preferred
• Prior ERP implementation experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; organized with strong attention to detail
