Director, Wealth Planning Solutions
At Asset Mark, Inc., the Director of Wealth & Planning Solutions will serve as a key member of the Wealth Solutions team. The role reports to the VP of Wealth Solutions and works with senior leaders to define, scope, and roadmap wealth solutions and planning services offered to over 12,000+ financial advisor clients partnering with Asset Mark. The Director partners closely with the SVP of Advanced Planning to develop and execute a strategic roadmap, develop and grow existing products such as Asset Mark’s Securities Backed Line of Credit (SBLOC) and Asset Mark Charitable, and create new wealth solutions that meet advisors’ needs.
The position requires a high‑profile, strategic leader who excels in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment and can lead a team, think strategically, and partner effectively across the organization. We can consider candidates who are able to accommodate a hybrid work schedule and are located near one of our offices in Concord, CA;
Chicago, IL; or Charlotte, NC.
- Partner closely with the SVP of Advanced Planning and VP of Wealth Solutions to define and execute the strategic roadmap for Asset Mark’s wealth and planning solutions.
- Effectively manage and communicate product vision, strategy, OKR/KPIs, and reporting.
- Develop top‑grade executive presentations and lead discussions that support decision alignment or promote awareness with leadership teams.
- Take ownership of existing offerings, including Asset Mark’s Securities Backed Line of Credit (SBLOC) and Asset Mark Charitable, and grow and expand these solutions.
- Lead efforts to develop and launch new holistic wealth solutions, focusing on areas such as banking, lending, charitable giving, trustee services, and other planning‑adjacent needs.
- Manage relationships with third‑party solution providers, including evaluation, negotiation, onboarding, and ongoing partnership management.
- Partner with cross‑functional teams to execute strategic plans, ensure a modern digital experience, and enable well‑equipped sales and service teams.
- Craft and execute clear pipeline plans to research and analyze issues, explore new ideas and solutions, and drive decision making.
- Support sales efforts by championing the solution set across distribution channels and addressing product competitiveness and positioning within target client segments.
- Lead and support the development of junior staff, fostering collaboration and a high‑performance culture.
- Extensive and direct experience in product strategy and development of wealth management solutions such as cash, lending, retirement, or other wealth offers that can connect directly to or adjacent to an advisory account. Private banking experience is a plus.
- Experience with wealth management offerings such as cash management, lending, retirement, charitable trustee, and other holistic solutions that integrate with or sit adjacent to advisory accounts.
- Strong background in managing third‑party solution provider relationships, including contract negotiation and performance oversight.
- Understanding of Broker‑Dealer and RIA, including how TAMPs function within the industry, is helpful but not required.
- Excellent analytical and financial modeling skills; ability to combine quantitative and qualitative approaches to develop strategic recommendations.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and deliver complex projects on time and within budget.
- Self‑motivated and results‑oriented, with a strong bias for action and the ability to lead work streams from start to finish with limited oversight.
- Ability to evaluate risks and the impact of decisions on the overall organization.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, adept at presenting to and influencing executive audiences.
- Thrives in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment with a strong team orientation and collaborative mindset, and a quickly changing atmosphere.
- Positive, solutions‑focused attitude, team‑oriented, and can‑do attitude.
- Limited travel (approximately 10–15% depending on business needs).
- Bachelor’s degree in business or other related fields.
- 10+ years of relevant experience.
Base salary range: for Concord, CA: $195,000 – $222,000; for Charlotte, NC: $165,000 – $188,000. The position is eligible for additional variable incentive compensation and competitive benefits.
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and are not eligible for visa sponsorship.
