Overview
Seasonal Tax-FSO- GCR Tax Accounting and Risk Advisory-Insurance-Manager ation:
Anywhere in Country. EY’s National Tax Department (NTD) serves high-profile, national and multinational clients with domestic and international transactional tax planning and advisory services. The TARAS practice supports financial reporting for income taxes, including tax accounting, tax provision procedures, and controls design and testing.
- Provide tax guidance and consulting related to tax accounting and planning (internal restructurings, acquisitions, dispositions, carve-out financial statements, GAAP conversions from US GAAP to IFRS or IFRS to US GAAP, share-based compensation, financial statement restatements, and balance sheet remediation of tax accounts).
- Assist companies with all aspects of their tax provision preparation.
- Review the tax provision process to improve efficiency and accuracy and enhance the control environment; assess tax risk and control environments beyond Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404.
- A bachelor’s degree in a related field with significant tax or legal experience; MST, MAcc, or JD/LLM preferred.
- Valid US CPA license or active state bar membership.
- Minimum of 5 years of work experience in professional services, tax organization, law firm, or IRS.
- Broad understanding and experience with federal income taxation.
- Strong analytical, written and verbal communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
- ASC 740 and/or IAS 12 experience; experience in corporate tax planning and compliance; relevant tax experience in business or industry with broad exposure to federal income taxation.
Strong tax and tax accounting knowledge; ability to work with and motivate others; ability to manage large engagements and build strong client and colleague relationships.

Compensation and Work Model- The salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $90/hr to $120/hr; salaries depend on education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography.
- Hybrid model: most client-serving roles are expected to work in person 40-60% of the time over a project or year.
