Overview
The Vice President of Finance serves as a strategic partner to the CEO and leadership team, overseeing all financial and accounting functions to ensure the company’s continued growth, profitability, and long‑term value creation. This role combines hands‑on financial management with strategic planning, supporting both day‑to‑day operations and future expansion initiatives.
Key Responsibilities Financial Strategy & Leadership- Develop and execute the company’s financial strategy in alignment with overall business goals.
- Provide insight and recommendations to the CEO and ownership group on financial performance, risk management, and capital allocation.
- Support strategic initiatives including M&A, financing, and new business ventures.
- Build and lead a high‑performing finance and accounting team that scales with company growth.
- Oversee accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes.
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting.
- Establish and maintain internal controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard company assets.
- Manage relationships with external auditors, banks, tax advisors, and other financial partners.
- Partner with department heads to develop budgets, monitor KPIs, and improve operational efficiency.
- Drive process improvements in cash flow management, inventory control, and working capital optimization.
- Implement systems and reporting tools to enhance financial visibility and decision‑making.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local tax and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee insurance coverage, banking relationships, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Monitor key financial risks and develop proactive mitigation plans.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, ideally in a privately held or private equity–backed environment.
- Proven track record in building financial infrastructure, managing growth, and driving profitability.
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
- Experience with ERP and financial reporting systems (e.g., Net Suite, Sage, Quick Books Enterprise, or similar).
