** WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
*** Responsible for ensuring maximum landfill diversion
* Event waste sorting
* Educating fans and staff in recycling recovery process
* Contributing to the venue sustainability culture

This is an opportunity to help set industry standards in zero-waste initiatives and shape a culture of sustainability at a renowned venue.
** Additional Responsibilities:
*** Participate in Zero Waste Captain on-boarding training
* Assist in the mid and post-show sorting process of all recycling, composting, and landfill materials
* Be available to work show days and non-show days to ensure all waste is sorted and diverted.
* Relay boots on the ground observations to guide areas of improvement and overall program development
* Contribute ideas to improve material circularity based on most commonly seen items in the waste stream
* Assist the Sustainability Manager with educational support to all crew members and fans
* Maintain a clean sorting area and support the post-show pick after each event
* Support compliance with local environmental policies and mandates
* Be an ambassador to all Band Members to help them understand their role in achieving the venue’s sustainability goals
* Assist in employee engagement programs such as the water bottle refill punch cards, post-show sort giveaways and new ideas
* Engage fans and encourage them to participate in our sustainability programs through activities or education
* Responsible for entering availability 3 weeks in advance through the ABIMM system. Employee is further responsible for communicating with the supervisor should that availability change.
* Ensuring that time worked is accurately captured through the ABIMM system.
** WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING
*** Not afraid to get dirty or be around unpleasant odors
* Ability to work outside in variable weather
* Strong time management skills to show up on time and work late hours
* Dedication to participate in something that will have a real and immediate impact to the cause
* Must be able to work well with other departments
* Experience in events, zero waste events are a plus
