Job Title:
Construction Materials Tester
As a Construction Materials Field Professional, you will be entrusted with the responsibility of protecting our clients' significant investments. You will collaborate with industry partners to address construction-related challenges, performing critical materials testing, observation, and inspection services on projects that impact community quality. These projects range from transportation infrastructure, such as roadways, bridges, and airports, to commercial developments, power generation and transmission, healthcare facilities, and educational institutions.
Utilizing innovative technology, you will provide high-quality, rapid documentation of your results and observations to clients and partners, facilitating timely and cost-effective solutions.
- Perform field and/or laboratory testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials, including soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel.
- Communicate with project managers, engineering technicians, client representatives, and contractors regarding construction site requirements and testing results.
- Transport material samples with associated documentation to the laboratory for further testing and analysis.
- Prepare and submit data and observations in written and digital reports for daily transmittal.
- Maintain and clean equipment, vehicles, and work areas.
- Assist with scheduling and dispatch of technicians to project sites.
- Adhere to strict safety standards and perform pre-task planning.
- Report any safety issues or concerns to management.

Skills & Qualifications
- ACI Certification required within 90 days of hire
- Nuclear Density Gauge certification preferred within 6 months of hire
- Successful completion of related internal safety certifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 6 months of experience required
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable violation history
90%+ of this role will be outdoors, in various weather conditions including hot, cold, rain, and shine. Some weekend and overnight travel is to be expected. The work involves driving vehicles such as a Ford F-150 or equivalent.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Charlotte, NC.
Pay And BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
