We are seeking an Assistant Scheduler to join our project management team and help drive the planning and scheduling of high-visibility projects. This role is ideal for a candidate with strong Primavera P6 skills, construction sequencing experience, and the ability to manage complex schedules independently.
The Role:As an Assistant Scheduler, you will support the scheduling function from development through execution, providing critical visibility into project timelines, resource needs, and schedule performance. You will collaborate with Project Managers, Superintendents, and General Contractors to ensure schedules reflect field realities and support successful project delivery.
What You’ll Be Doing:- Build, maintain, and update CPM schedules in Primavera P6, ensuring clean logic (FS/SS/FF relationships, minimal improper lag) and structured WBS alignment with GC master schedules
- Develop schedules that reflect field-driven construction sequencing, particularly for MEP, electrical, and heavy industrial scopes
- Independently manage portions of project schedules, supporting GC-driven environments (experience with Walbridge, DPR, or similar is a plus)
- Run and interpret schedule analytics, including Longest Path, float analysis, and variance vs baseline
- Support resource loading and manpower forecasting as needed
- Prepare monthly schedule narratives, update summaries, and client-facing reports
- Maintain structured schedule discipline: document constraints, protect schedule integrity, and avoid artificial float
- Advanced Primavera P6 proficiency (CPM required)
- Strong understanding of Critical Path vs Longest Path
- Solid experience in construction sequencing, ideally in mission critical, industrial, or data center projects
- Ability to independently own a project schedule and confidently present schedule logic in client/OAC meetings
- Familiarity with resource loading and forecasting
- Ability to produce clear, concise reporting and schedule narratives
- 4–7 years of construction scheduling experience
