Master’s Thesis​/Internship – Power Electronics

The focus will be on converter topologies, control strategies and hardware testing, and you will gain hands-on experience in simulation, control design and experimental validation.

• LLC Converters & Dual Active Bridge: Design and simulate LLC resonant converters as alternatives to DAB topologies, with emphasis on efficiency and hardware implementation.
• Integrated Gate Driver Design: Develop high-frequency gate drivers for power semiconductors in high-voltage applications.
• Double Pulse Test: Implement and analyze double pulse testing to characterize switching behavior and losses in power devices.
• Novel AC/DC Single-Stage Converter Concepts: Simulate and build compact, efficient single-stage AC-DC conversion systems.

• Enrolled on a Master's programme in Power Electronics, Electrical Engineering or a related subject
• Knowledge of power converter topologies, control theory, and simulation tools (e.g., PSIM, LTSpice, or MATLAB/Simulink, Plecs, KICAD)
• Experience with hardware prototyping, PCB assembly, and lab equipment (oscilloscopes, power analyzers) is advantageous
• Strong analytical skills and ability to troubleshoot circuits
