Senior Electrical Engineer (PE) – Healthcare Facilities

Location: Various locations within the FL area and North Carolina

Employment Type: Full-Time

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer with a Professional Engineer (PE) license to join our team. The ideal candidate will bring proven experience designing and managing complex electrical systems for large-scale hospital or major healthcare facility projects. This role requires a balance of technical expertise, client interaction, and leadership, with a strong emphasis on compliance with healthcare codes and standards.

Responsibilities
  • Lead electrical engineering design for large healthcare facility projects (hospitals, medical centers, major healthcare campuses).
  • Develop power distribution, lighting, emergency power, and low-voltage system designs.
  • Ensure compliance with NFPA, NEC, Joint Commission, and healthcare-specific codes.
  • Coordinate with architects, mechanical engineers, and other stakeholders.
  • Mentor junior engineers and review design deliverables.
  • Conduct site visits, inspections, and support project commissioning.
  • Collaborate with clients during planning, design, and project execution.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s a plus).
  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
  • 7+ years of electrical engineering experience, with at least 3+ years focused on hospitals or major healthcare facilities.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare codes and standards (NEC, NFPA 70, NFPA 99, NFPA 101).
  • Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, and electrical modeling software preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interface with clients.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage complex projects from concept through completion.
