Senior Electrical Engineer (PE) – Healthcare Facilities
Location: Various locations within the FL area and North Carolina
Employment Type: Full-Time
About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer with a Professional Engineer (PE) license to join our team. The ideal candidate will bring proven experience designing and managing complex electrical systems for large-scale hospital or major healthcare facility projects. This role requires a balance of technical expertise, client interaction, and leadership, with a strong emphasis on compliance with healthcare codes and standards.
Responsibilities- Lead electrical engineering design for large healthcare facility projects (hospitals, medical centers, major healthcare campuses).
- Develop power distribution, lighting, emergency power, and low-voltage system designs.
- Ensure compliance with NFPA, NEC, Joint Commission, and healthcare-specific codes.
- Coordinate with architects, mechanical engineers, and other stakeholders.
- Mentor junior engineers and review design deliverables.
- Conduct site visits, inspections, and support project commissioning.
- Collaborate with clients during planning, design, and project execution.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s a plus).
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- 7+ years of electrical engineering experience, with at least 3+ years focused on hospitals or major healthcare facilities.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare codes and standards (NEC, NFPA 70, NFPA 99, NFPA 101).
- Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, and electrical modeling software preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interface with clients.
- Proven ability to lead and manage complex projects from concept through completion.

Salary: $100,000 - $150,000 a year
