Commissioning Field Specialist

We’re partnering with a national leader in data center engineering to hire a Commissioning Field Specialist
. This is a high-impact, field-based role supporting hyperscale and mission-critical projects across the U.S.
If you’re a hands-on commissioning professional who can lead field execution, direct contractors, and troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical systems with minimal oversight — this is an outstanding opportunity to step into larger, more complex projects with a recognized industry leader.
The RoleYou’ll lead on-site commissioning activities including inspection, validation, functional testing, and troubleshooting of electrical, mechanical, and controls systems.
Key responsibilities include:
- Directing vendors and contractors during testing and startup
- Developing commissioning plans, pre-functional checklists, and test scripts
- Reviewing drawings and resolving design discrepancies
- Managing documentation, reporting, and issue tracking
- Supporting project delivery on time and on budget
- Leveraging digital and AI-enabled tools to drive efficiency
This role offers significant autonomy in the field with strong project leadership support.
What They’re Looking For- Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and controls systems
- 5+ years of hands-on installation, testing, and troubleshooting experience
- Ability to lead field activities and serve as a client-facing representative
- Experience in mission-critical or large-scale infrastructure environments preferred
- Bachelor’s degree (Engineering/Construction)
or equivalent hands-on experience - Ability to obtain NFPA 70E and/or OSHA certifications
