We are seeking an HVAC/Field Engineer to join our team in Charlotte, NC. This role involves oversight during the construction phase of building systems engineering projects. The ideal candidate will be organized, proficient in computer skills, have excellent writing skills, and a team-oriented demeanor.
Responsibilities- Implement approved system concepts during construction.
- Manage construction-related aspects of MEP engineering and develop client relationships.
- Coordinate with project managers, trades, and architects.
- Attend meetings, prepare documentation, and perform field verification of systems.
- Review and process submittals and RFIs related to electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
- Assist clients in reviewing punch lists and resolving installation issues.
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and building automation systems.
- Ability to work directly with architects, owners, and construction managers.
- BS in Mechanical Engineering; P.E. license is a plus.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Understanding of MEP concepts and design requirements.
- Ability to access and navigate job sites physically.
- Detail-oriented and deadline-driven.
- Experience with HVAC systems, building management, and testing disciplines is a plus.
