Position: New Graduate (May/June 2026) – Power Delivery Engineer

Overview

As a new graduate engineer in ENERCON’s Power Delivery group, you’ll step into a dynamic role where your work directly supports the backbone of modern energy systems. Whether you focus on distribution networks or substation design, you’ll join a multidisciplinary team tackling real-world challenges that impact utilities, independent power producers, and industrial clients. From day one, you’ll contribute to the design, analysis, and inspection of critical infrastructure ranging from transmission lines and substations to greenfield distribution projects.

You’ll gain hands‑on experience using industry tools, apply current codes and standards, and collaborate across disciplines to deliver high‑quality engineering solutions. With mentorship from experienced engineers and exposure to field work, you’ll build a strong foundation in both technical and project management skills. As a new graduate at ENERCON, you will be expected to actively engage in various tasks and responsibilities crucial to the success of our projects. You will learn and apply codes and standards for designing projects, be organized and efficient, maintain a positive attitude towards learning and feedback, collaborate with senior engineers for field data collection, adapt to new software systems, ask questions, use available resources, and connect classroom knowledge with practical industry work.

What are skills that would be helpful to your success as a new graduate?
  • Graduated or graduating with a bachelor’s or master’s degree from an ABET‑accredited school in one of our listed preferred majors.
  • Available to start between May 2026 and August 2026 (graduating May‑June 2026 preferred).
  • Strong intellectual curiosity to learn more about modern energy systems.
  • Preferred courses completed:
    Power Systems Engineering, Power Electronics, Power Systems Analysis & Control, Electric Power Quality.
  • A solid working foundation with your major’s core concepts.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite.

  • Ability to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teams.
